The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research has announced that Pam Grimes, CPIW, CIC, CISR, DAE, AINS, CBIA is the 2017 Outstanding CSR of the Year recipient for the state of North Carolina.
Pam was selected for having demonstrated outstanding service and professionalism within the insurance community. Pam has over thirty years in the insurance industry working for an insurance company, brokerage firm and agency. Her current position with VFIS of North Carolina & Anders, Ireland & Marshall, Inc. is as a business insurance account manager. Pam handles a book of business for VFIS of North Carolina for fire departments and another one for water and sewer districts. For Anders, Ireland & Marshall, Inc. she handles a book for business dealing with commercial insurance. Her duties include rounding accounts, day to day changes and questions, issuing certificates of insurance, reporting claims, and other day to day items.
Pam Grimes is a past winner of the North Carolina Outstanding CSR of the Year Award in the 1990’s and a past winner of the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina’s Young Agent of the Year Award. Pam is a past state president of the North Carolina Association of Insurance Professionals and past Region II regional vice president for the International Association of Insurance Professionals. She has held numerous positions on the local, state, regional and national level including president, public relations chairman, state parliamentarian, and education chairman to name a few. Her most recent position was chairman of the 2016 North Carolina Association of Insurance Professionals convention. This was her fifth convention to chair or co-chair. Pam holds multiple insurance designations.
Pam is a member of the 50-210 Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary where she currently holds the position of Sergeant of Arms. Pam is a member of White Memorial Presbyterian Church – Willow Spring, NC where she serves on the Christian Education Committee. As the public relations chairman for Relay For Life – Johnston County, NC from 2014-16, she was one of three members on television talking about Relay For Life - the first time anyone from Relay For Life of Johnston County, NC has been on television.
Pam is married to Robin Grimes, who works for East Coast Equipment in Smithfield, NC as assistant parts manager and is a volunteer fireman for the 50-210 Fire Department where he has served for 28 years.
“Pam was chosen as a state winner for exemplifying the characteristics and qualifications required to be eligible for the prestigious National Outstanding CSR of the Year Award” stated Dr. William T. Hold, Ph.D., CIC, CPCU, CLU, and President of the National Alliance. “She represents the backbone of the insurance community, those customer service representatives distinguished for providing exceptional customer service on a daily basis.”
Mrs. Grimes receives a framed certificate, embossed with the special Outstanding CSR of the Year bronze medallion symbol, and is now one of 37 individuals eligible for the national honor.
